Thanks for the interest guys, quad has been sold, definitely didn't take too long. Thanks again.

I've got a '99 400EX that was my wife's bike until the headgasket let go. I started tearing the quad down in preparation for a full rebuild but could not get the swing arm bolt out (don't laugh) and gave up without much effort as we already had an extra 400EX so this project never went anywhere. Other than the headgasket (which I have and will include with sale), the motor is perfect and ran smooth.

I have everything to put this back together, but it will need a set of handlebars (if I can't find the stockers), new swing arm bolt, and probably some new hardware if you want to be classy about it.

For all you handy/mechanical type that are willing to put in some work to finish my project, you'll have a running 400ex for less than $1000.

If someone has time to either reassemble or part out, you'll make $$. Heck, throw a HG in the motor, sell it and the wheels/tires and you'll make you're $$ back. I don't have the time or desire to put it back together. My loss is your gain, come by and pick it up, I need the garage space back! $500 obo. Quad is located in Corona, CA don't want to ship. Give me a call at 951-310-6736 or PM me if interested.

hey, the swingarm bolt seizes up like that, u gotta split the cases as much as you can, take a blow torch and go real fast cut it.. it'll splatter some on the cases but u can chip it off... just buy a new bolt!
