has anyone used WSM pistons? If so how good are they.

Don't know much about them except they are cast rather than forged. Most OEM pistons are cast (except for the newer generation of slipper pistons like those found in YFZ450s, TRX450Rs, etc). Most of the popular aftermarket pistons are forged. All JE, Wiseco, and CP pistons are forged. It's easier to find non-OEM cast pistons in two stroke applications (like many Pro-X and Namura offerings).

Given the choice I'd rather have a forged piston than cast.

I prefer forged due to their ability to "hold" oil...
