timing?

i have a 2000 400ex and i replced my base gasket, put it together and cant get the timing right. I cant find my manual so i need a little help. i've done it before but i cant quite remember how to get the timing right. i know it has to do with the "t" mark on the crank and the marks on the camshaft. Any help would be appricated.

look through the hole on the left side of the motor and line up the t with the little line. Thats tdc and then the cam gear should have marks on it. these should be level with the head and the one line should point up. hope this helps.
