i read on here about heavy duty valve springs but can not find the thread now. does anyone know where i can find these.

they will not withstand my current engine build. 13.4:1 and 10,000 revs

are there any springs that i could maybe swap with maybe 250r

Powroll sells springs for the 250X/300EX.

I'm sure there's other sources for 250X springs as well. FYI, the 250r doesn't have valve spings (since it has no valves--it's a two stroke).

Whoops....I was thinking 250X for some reason. 250EX springs might be harder to find.

R/D valvespring makes both Titanium and Chromoly Valvesprings for the 250ex. The Ti is 136 dollars, while the Chromo is 76. These springs would be ideal if you have a top-end oriented build, or have a cam/rev box.

the valve spring kit is the same if the engine is kick or electric.

They're that close? They're two completely different motors are they not?

before a purchase is made I would recommend measurement and verification with the vendor, but the spring height and tension should be the same on both engines if the head is the same.

the head is the same from 01'-08', and in this case the KW is good up to 02'. I would have to call and verify.
