300ex Rear Axle Nuts?

How do u get them off? The inner one was loose already, but the outer, its tight as hell, and with my wife on the quad, holding the brake, its not enough weight, I keep spinning the axle.

Whats the trick? Its left hand tread like the inner one right?

you need to hold the inner one with one wrench, and grab the outside nut with another wrench and push down on it- its been a while, but i'm almost positive thats how it is. both nuts and the threads are one 3 peice assembly that pushes against a retainer ring on the axle, forcing the nut assy. to put pressure on the bearings

The manual I have says to loosen the inner one 1st, it was already loose when I went to loosen it. I was lifting up on the outer one.

I will try again tonight.
