like an oil temp guage that bolts into the drain plug or something.

Some one on here was selling ones that replaced the dipstick. I don't know if they are any good or not.

I bought mine from Chadexr off this board. Nice unit and i have been racing with it and had no problems. It was like $40 shipped. I found out i am running way to hot. Around 325 degrees. Gotta get it to cool down some. Mo:(

Has anyone tried useing one of B & M's oil temp gauges, it measures up to 350 degrees and it comes with a "T" spliter so I think it could be mounted in the oil line and could be mounted up top or where ever. I'm thinking about getting one and put it in the oil line one my 300ex.

dude i know that i go rididng with has a 416.. running race gas no airboxc and all of that other crap and if his gets over 250 he will not ride... cause someone told him that built the motor that if he did the oil would break... and cause premature wear or something

if your oil is 325, you have SERIOUS PROBLEMS ON YOUR WAY. oil stops working at around 260-275

Just my two cents. I don't think a temp gauge that screws into where the dip stick goes would be a good idea. It would read how hot the engine cases are and not the actual oil temp. Thats why I'm looking into an in-line oil temp. Like I said just my two cents.

Not a bad setup, a little pricy, but not bad. I'm still kind of leaning toward the inline oil temp, but I also have a 300ex and don't have the drain setup like the 400ex. I just kind of think that the in line oil temp with a mechanical gauge would be more dependable.

they have ones that screw into the oil tank up front for the 400

What about a exhaust temp gauge??? My friend has 2 of them on his banshee....one for each pipe.
