Will this cam work with this 440ex?

We tore it apart and our whit bros high lifter cam looked like we needed a new one..so i purchased a hotcams stage 2 from a memebr on here..He gave me a stage 3 and i was wondering if it would work with a 11:1 440 kit with je piston,450r carb,ported and polished,exhaust.and be faster than the white bros cam or the hotcam stage 2? or should i get my money and get a stage 2? Thanks

You should be fine. Stage 3's are for big bore motors and give you lots of top end power

oo ok..so u dont need a stroker kit to run the cam or anything right? Will it add power compared to white bros ... Thanks

you may need to check the valve to piston clearance with that bad boy.

check out hotcams homepage it tells alot about it ont here, a stroker kit is idea for stage 3, but doesnt have to be a stroker, that is a great cam for a 440 though youd be fine, and i bet it wil out perform the wb cam.

The stage 3 cam has longer duration than the WB cam, just not as much lift. So it will give you more peak power if you have it ported right. And the WB cam will give you a more substantial low end hit.
