I had to replace the axle bearings (the ones int he carrier) and when taking it apart i noticed the lock nut is stuck together, it will not budge at all. we tried soaking it, heating it up, it will not move at all. it has been a tiny bit loose for awile and my brake system has some play in it and thats all.. anybody have a similar problem? anyone know how i can undo it or should i just buy a new one

There are 2 nuts. Loosen the inner nut first before trying to loosen the outer nut. Spin the nuts in towards the rotor to remove the axle lock ring. They are LEFT HANDED threads

Yes I know they are left handed threads. the 2 peices that are stuck together are #'s 10 and 4 in the image.
