Shifting

I have an 04 model 450R, and i am having trouble shifting between 2nd and 3rd gears. it seem to be more difficult to shift between those two gears than any other gears. i went down to my local shop and bought some good transmission gear oil to put in there (20w-50). Could there be something wrong with my transmission or something else?

I'd run the Honda red bottle 85W or something similar to that, Im not too big of a fan of putting motor oil in the transmission side, espeically when they are separate, I would use a tranny specific oil.
