What is the best set of handlebars? I need a new set on my 250x and was thinking about pro taper. I'm not sure if I should get Tag or Renthal over the pro taper bars. What do you guys like? Post pics if you've got any.:D

There really isn't a "best" set of bars...it is more about personal preference. You can't go wrong with TAG, Renthal, or Pro Taper to tell you the truth.

However, there is a difference between standard size 7/8" bars and taper walled 1 1/8" bars. Tapered or "fat" bars are a lot stronger and more forgiving on the rider from my experiences as I have tried both types. The lack of the crossbar in the middle makes the bar much less harsh on the rider because it allows a certain degree of downward flex when you take a big hit.

As for myself, I had TAG T2's on there but switched it up for some Fly Aerotapered bars just because I like the mini high bend.

To me FLEX Bars are the best set of handlebars out there. I'ts like a steering stabilizer, once you use one you never want ride without them.

Best set of bars are hard to say!

They all serve the purpose, but I don't think I will ever use the "strongest" set of bars out there ever again!

You bolt the strongest set of bars out there on a nice $200+ anti-vibe stem and you will bend the stem before the $80 set of bars!

You can do the math, I would rather spend $80 opposed to $200 anyday!

My money tree is not having the expected growth as I wished and I also can't seem to match the six little balls with the big red one ever! :eek2:

Haha, I guess it can go both ways in some instances. I like to run stock stems because i'd rather toast a soft $40 stem than a nice set of bars or my frame. Your logic makes sense too, just a little different lol :p

Pro Taper. My stem bent before the bars did.

I've been extremely happy with my Pro Tapers. Haven't had any problems in a year and a half and two rollovers later.

I've also heard good things about Fasst Flexx bars though, if you can afford $200-300 for bars or whatever they are these days. My buddy just switched to them on his LTR and loves them - he says they make a world of difference.
