Didn't make the crossing, bike stalled and was re-started in the water, by the time i get across water is being fired out the exhaust. I pull the airbox plug drain water and ride to the truck. Check the oil and its clean, so i go to garage and the quad runs and idles but doesn't have the juice to loft the front wheels, this has never been a problem. Could water be in the carb? I don't have a compression tester but there is no more water vapor or smoke coming from the exhaust. I think it may be fuel related. Where else should i look? There isn't an engine knock.

Fully drain and dry the gas, also the oil. Clean carb and air filter. Try that.

x2 on above comments. Make sure that air filter is good and dry. Make sure water isnt getting into the spark plug boot and shorting it out either. If it still runs crappy after doing all this then it may be time for a compression check.

If water was coming out of the exhaust i'm thinking maybe a bent valve.

Can i check for a bent valve with a compression test?

yes you can. A sure fire way is to do a leakdown test.

when my 300ex i had was almost still b rand new, i tried to cross a really deep creek and it bogged down n stalled n i had to get it towed out. when we got it out, we checked the airbox/filter to see how wet it was...not a drop of water on it. after about 5mins of tryin to get it fired, she started up. water shot out my exhaust about 10feet for about 15 seconds when we revved it up. when we got going, my cousin who was behind me said he was still getting wet and sprayed with water coming out of my exhaust. so i dont think it has to be a bent valve, but it could be...

I don't think it would idle with a bent valve.
