I'm looking at a 05 TRX450 with a really blown motor, like the rod blew right through the cases, but it has all the good stuff on it like elka's and Hyper wheels as well as all the protection that any racer with deep pockets might dump into a quad.

The question I have...has anyone here stuffed a CRF250X or R engine into a TRX450 frame and how hard was it to do and is the motor strong enough to pull the TRX450 chassis?

The reason i'm asking is that I'm thinking about building one for my son who will be riding the 13 to 15 class next year.

I've been told that a crf-250/450 will into a 400ex chassis because there is a kit for it. The friend that told me is building a Honda 250r/07 ktm450 quad. As for Can-Am issue I agree with you. If you have any questions on the CRF-250/ 450r issue email me back I know of some people who could do it or give you any info on it.

let me know how this works out, i think that honda and yamaha and all them detune the motors soo much in these things.. thos 65's and 85's and stuff haul ***** and there nuts wheerers are slow and putt putt for mins unless you have big pockets...

i was thinkin about makein a yfz250f hybird with the blaster.. i have a extra frame the i could cut up and stuff... but i cont know if its strong enough...mabie a 400ex... i like yamaha tho, i would like to keep every thing yamha... like a yfz 450 roller with a 250 f motor...
thats what i think i'll try to build once i get the funds...
