I was at Sparks web site the other day and I noticed something about his engine kits. Correct me if I am wrong but he does not recomend the engine advance key for the larger motors? Well I noticed that he has them on is 465 national kit. I don't want to start a flame or say that Curtis Sparks doesn't know what he is doing. I just thought it was odd that he told me that he did not recomend the key for my 440 but it was ok for his? If any one knows I would be curious to know the answer.
Thanks. :)

I was told by Powroll not to advance my timeing with my 440 kit. Maybe its a misprint on the Sparks site. ? ? ?

I also talked to Sparks after I ordered the timing key, and he told me not to run it on the 416. He said it is only beneficial if you run the stock bore. I decided not to use it, and now it is siting in the garage:( .

Yeah he said he would not recommend to advance the timing except on a tock bore. Why the heck I bought it? Just have to put it on E Bay

So is it a misprint on the web site? or does he put in his engine kits?

i had it in my motor when it was stock and it helped a lot. but when i switched to a 416 it ran good but it got really hot.....and i mean REALLY hot. i called sparks and he said take out the advance. as soon as i did she cooled right down to a safe temp. and has been running great ever since
