when you compare 450r shocks to any other 450 shocks or look at them straight ahead they have to be the ugliest looking pogo sticks ive ever seen

i agree. i dont like how they put graphics on the gas tank to make the bike all red...and i dont like the blue seat on the black one at all

and now that im thinking of it. i have never liked the design on the headlight since '06. i liked the way the older ones looked...they were sweet

i think the 08 450r looks pretty good because i have alot of problems with black on my quad with it fading and it looks like crap so i really dont mind a dominate red quad for the shocks i dont think they compare to other 450 shocks but if i compare them to mine i think they look ten times better and probally perform better

I don't know what honda is doing but the 08 is not impressive at all, hopefully the 09 is totally different with some suspension options, and maybe efi. They need something to compete with the quadracer r450.

i dont like the Q racer at all. imo the R is better except for the width. they need to make a bike to compete with the kfx 450...that machine is amazing

When my brother was in south carolina last week they went to a huge dealer in myrtle beach. they had a few 08 450r's. He said they looked horrible with the matching gas tank.

Yeah honda needs to make alot of changes soon. I think first they should worry about making a better engine/trans for abusive atv use. than a lighter frame with wider a arms and axle. than better shocks. last i think should be more modern technology like efi etc.

And they should make a quad to compete with the KFX450R??? Lmao, my buddy bought the new KFX right when they hit the showroom floor and sold it maybe a month later because it had been to the shop 5 times already. Don't see too many 450R owners complaining about reliability.. I think honda just needs to look at minor upgrades on the suspension and such, nothing crazy. Because everyone is going to swap out the parts anyway?

Sure the LTR is wide and all, but how many people racing are running the stock axle, a-arms and susp. anyway?

i love the 450R. i just dont like the new look....maybe i should put it this way...i love the older model 450R's

Last year I rode in the Quad 265-450 A class and finished in 28th place. I was number #165 and had a points total of 16 points. I'm not racing this year yet cause I messed up my hand.

my brother has an 06 yfz and i have an 07 450r. the yfz is the biggest POS ive ever rode. although the stock susp. is better then the hondas, everything else about it sucks, esp. the power delivery. yamaha really needs to redesign a few things on that bike

sup honda guys? you think you ghot issues or you dont like the look, i have no idea what i was thinking , and im prepared for your smarta@# comments, but traded my paid for 2007 trx450er with hrc kit(didnt start instantly, but started after a couple of rounds) ran awesome, other then my slow start( im not complaining, never complained about it!) got this outlaw 525 cause i dont race and i ride and i am making trails in woods no one has ever ridden in or anything for over 60 years( bunch of down trees and hills *reverse* *irs* , allthough i do like a quad that runs good, check this out. first ride, dumped all my engine oil out of my quad (case bolt leaking, bad case on my ktm), not total, but a significant amount for sure, looked like a 1967 harley been parked in my truck after every ride, wheels in rear being destroyed by the a arms because after my first outing, who knows, probably before , my rear wheel bearings are junk, can push wheel from 12 to 6 and back and forth from 3 to 9 when it is suspended. PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS HOW JUNK THESE QUADS ARE, PRODUCTION DATE OF APRIL 2007, NOTHING BUT DISSAPPOINTMENT! SAVING FOR A NEW 2007 OR 2008 HONDA. It's reasons like this thread that I don't participate in this site very much. This whole site is filled with kid's who think that their TRX90 can take your YZ450. I can't believe all the bickering and "i'm better than you" attitudes here. I look at it this way... We are all here, we all ride, most of us race, we do our best, we love this sport more than anything. A little appreciation for another guys ride goes a long way. I don't know how you people can sit there and bash. Grow up, we all share the same passion.

I've owned Honda since I started riding at 8 years old. I will never ride anything but Honda, that's how I am. Now am I going to sit there and call that guy or this guy a no good POS because he rides Yamaha? Hell no. He prolly has as much time and money invested in his ride and he loves riding it as much as I love riding mine. I tell him, nice ride man, and on my way.

as for Honda i love it...
suzuki is nice...
and yamaha... is ok

ive seen all these bikes win races and who hasnt ride wat you prefer ya the 07 looks ugly but who keeps them stock?? as for your a class dreams dude you aint got a clue...

as for national TT racing... Farr, Little, and Goodman.. Ogden... Rath... etc all have it down to a science no one beats them and they all ride honda but MX is very different so dont ripp my head off id be running that to if injuries didnt hold me back

Anyways for the tires, the fronts should of been the meats off the first year YFZ, they steer better. And Honda also made the gas tank smaller they should of kept it the same for the trail riders.

All I'm saying is don't say one quad is better than all the others. Cause that's right. All four 450's are very even stock and moded. As for the '08 450R, they should done some better changes. I'm sure '09 will be bring new invasions. New frame, EFI, and etc.

those race results were just on fathers day?or is that the point standings for all the races because ive seen some other races and seen mostly all honda riders and suzuki riders but the majority were honda in the top 3 followed by suzuki i guess it just depends on the tracks and the riders but you cant look at one race and say which is best you gotta look at all the races and then if you were going to buy a quad off of race stats look at who/what machine was majority in first , thats depending on what you ride because the fastest on the track might not be the best for the woods like you were saying if you raced youed want the best for racing
