Afternoon win goes to Bill Ballance followed by Chris Borich and Matt Smiley brings home third. I guess that the race was supposed to be a 5 lap race and they called it at 4 laps.

Tim Farr raced in the xc2 class and finished the race not sure on what position yet though.

Jeremie Dudding won the morning race in the 4x4 lites class.

Traci Cecco had battery issues not sure if or how she finished.

Roughest course in years!

That's all I know right now.

And I thought MX was dangerous........ Would love to know how Farr finished, and how the KTM did...

I broke my collarbone in a field section. I was 4th gear pinned and a rider in front of me slammed oo the brakes for an upcoming kicker and I rear ended him and then went flying. My quad landed on me then rolled over me. Luckily I had a neck brace on or I might be in some real bad shape.

I was at a MX race in Va yesterday and saw quite a few people wearing that new brace... I'll be glad when they make that mandatory......

I was just wearing one of the evs neck rolls. I plan to upgrade to the Leatt brace pretty soon though.

I hear this track was not as tough as The Wisp what do you think ??

POOOG...I would say that you are right my brotha..There was not as many rocks beating the hell out of you like there was at WISP. The woods sections were Rutted, Rounded rocks that got really bad as the day went on, but people did not get the concept of staying ON the throttle and holding on:grr: Bottlenecks were the worst I have ever seen and the MUDHOLE on mile 10 was like a lake of up to 3 foot mud in some spots:mad: The uphills were long and dusty, but fast as hell. It was fun, you missed a good race brotha...

The Wisp didn't have the mudholes.
The Snowshoe was easy for the most part but that 2 miles of track between the 8 and 10 mile markers claimed a lot of quads.

I only made it till mile 9 of lap 1 :cuss:

I still can't believe how you broke your shifter out of your engine...At least you got to see the rest of the track in the PM race  We walked back down throught the slopes to see some crazy Mud bogging at the 10 mile mark and helped out a lot of the guys in the PM race:muscle:

Also...I think My Helmet cam video was not a complete loss:huh

With some editing I might even have a good 25 minutes of the race, including us off the start and all the way up the hill:D

I hear ya! Made it up to the top of the hill at after the 9 mile mark on lap 1 and figured out I @#$#@ up my hub and/or axle (whichever it was, I only had one wheel engaing so I wasn't going anywhere :( )

I watched the uphill at mile marker nine during the afternoon race and I think the one track worker there was working just as hard as the racers (if not harder). He was just down in there helping everyone get unstuck and just trying to keep traffic flowing...it was nuts!

Me too. I have been trying to find a pcture of it, but have yet to find one. Also, I would suspect that there is a picture of Kilby's quad going up in flames since I saw a guy taking pictures of it (I was there).

Wow, what a great event! The place is like being in the Swiss Alps. Next year I'll bring the family and make it a weeks vacation.
Track was great, I would have liked to have seen more of the stuff like between 8 & 10 instead of the high speed sections tho.

haha wow thats even worse than saturday morning, towing is fine to get unstuck, as long as you are riding/racing under your own power, id say half of everybody had to get towed out

Hopefully these pics will load as I have never posted here before. The race was awesome and the mud you just had to be there to see. I have more pictures if there is something you are looking for, I may have it. Sorry for the poor quality, I have not taken the time to edit them yet, will try and clean them up tommorow.

Now thats just not right! I can hear the wrenches turning in the garages right now taking the bikes apart to clean em.. That mud sucks. Congrats to Lexie Coulter for taking the win in the womens class.

That's me in the last picture!:D I took that line every lap and always passed people. I think people where afraid cause it was standing water but if you hammered into it and stayed on the gas it was a peice of cake. A lot better than what was to the right of it.

Awesome Pic CLETUS..I learned the hardway and was in the middle of the pool on Lap 1 for 10 min. Second lap I blew through the left side on you line and hammered through it:devil:
