Hello everyone,

Well I went out the other day and found out my four wheeler wouldn't start. If was working fine when I shut it off the other day. I put it was maybe the sparkplug, I put a new one in and it still will not start.

When I press the starter button you can hear the piston moving but just wont fire. I ran the battery dead trying to start it.

Anyone know what else it could be.

Thanks Jaime

P.S. I attached a picture of my 400ex (really a 440ex now). I was showing my step-dad why you don't need a 4x4 to go thur mud!

Getting spark? Got gas? Getting gas? Is the killswitch on the ON position? Is the fuel on the ON position?

Yes it turns over.

Got gas and gas is on. I am getting gas I turned the screw out on the carb and drained the gas out of the bowl and then re-tightened the screw.

The killswitch is in the middle.

I havent checked the spark, I put a new spark plug in. Whats the easy way to check if you are getting spark.

Thanks Jaime

Take the plug out and hook it into the spark boot, ground the plug to the frame or your motor, it has to have metal contact, then turn your motor over, make sure you're not touching what's it's being grounded to.
