I bike stopped running the other day, it had no spark, i checked every wire on the bike, all connections and changed spark plug, checked grounds and cdi, my only guess is that its the ignition coil. what do u guys think.

Could be lots of things, including: the ignition coil, the exciter coil, or the pulse generator. With a service manual and a multi-meter you can pinpoint what's not working. It's really hard to do the checks without the service manual since it's hard to know which wires are which and next to impossible to know what readings you should be getting.

ok, i got the service manual and a multi meter, do u know what settings to set it on for each test, i know the manual says what, but it still confuses me.

Can you post a picture of your multi-meter? Even a cheesy cell-phone picture will work, I just want to see the dial and controls, and I can walk you through the multimeter operation.

Just curious, how did you eliminate the CDI as the possible culprit?

i found the problem today, it is the ignition coil ,we hooked a good working one up to it, and lots of spark, mine just has zero spark with my coil
