I just picked up this for $100 on Craigslist.

I adjusted the timing and valves, paid $80 for used plastic and now I have $180 into this:

Surprisingly well, no noises or smoke, I just need to adjust the float because it is flooding.

It's a hobby I guess. I find all kinds of deals like that, put a little money and work into them and make some profit. Mostly though, it's just because I enjoy doing the work and if I kept them all I wouldn't have a garage or back yard left.
