450r suspension

OK, having some trouble decideing what to do and looking for some imput from you more experienced riders....
I currently have standard travel +2 arms and Stock revavle/resprung shocks in front, I have a GT MX Link and a stock revalve in the rear....

My buddy has a LT rear Elka elite in the back and ST Elka's in the front w/ +2 arms on his 400ex.... His quad lands so well and mine is just a little rough...

I'm looking at EITHER getting LT Axis shocks for my front and new arms OR Should i get LT Rear to make a better ride???????? Not looking to spend a TON of money but have around 1000.... I was also thinking wil a revalve/resprung GT Thunder rear shock make that big of a difference ????? Thanks in advance for any input....

I have elka's all around on my 416ex none are long travel though. My friends have long travel on there quads and my frontends both handle as well as there long travels. I do ride pretty hard and have yet to bottom out my front shocks. Now on the rear of my R I bottom it out alot when pounding through whoops.

I plan to change the rearend to full longtravel with either a walsh or lonestar swingarm with there links. To me that is where the 450 really needs improvement. Dont get me wrong the rebult rear is night and day better than the stock was. I then stepped up to a more aggressive riding style now I need more rear travel. the front is doing fine as is in my book.

My frontend is right out at 50inches wide, as is my rearend.
