Hi, Just checking to see if anyone knew what the switch on front brake is for, I'm going to switch with asv lever do I need to do anything with the switch? Thanks

switch???? you mean on the clutch side?? the only switch i know of on these bikes is on the clutch lever side wich is a dummy start switch. makes the bike not start should it be in gear....

yeah i believe your thinking of the clutch instead of the front brake. the switch engages when u pull back on the clutch lever far enough and allows the bike to start in gear. leave the switch on there when u install ur lever.

Nope mine is 2005 and it has switch on the brake...

Yep, just checked it's for the brake light. I' ll have to disable it
with asv lever.... Thanks

LMAO! i didnt know the new 400s had brake lights. guess im still stuck in the past lol:p

I just mounted up my C5 lever and just realized this (I had not seen this thread before ordering the lever). What a joke. Surely it wouldn't have taken much additional effort to design a lever which makes use of the switch. :rolleyes:

is it possible to use this switch on an older 400? people just keep running iinto me, brakelights would be nice

yea just a 2005 0r newer front brake master cylinder and switch should be on the bottom.
