i have a trx 250 ex and was wondering if it would take alot of top end power off if i went to a 20inch istead of the stock 22inch.

yes you will feel a loss but just go up a tooth on the front sprocket and you will regain the topend....if i were you i would go ahead and get 18'' tires and go up 2teeth on the f. sprocket!!! this way you will have more acceleration and topend :)

good luck

(correct me if im wrong)

dirtrider, 250ex's are shaft driven.

trxrider, why are you posting the same thread in ten different places? you've gotten your answer [from many different people] so why are you still asking?

You can get 20x11x9 kenda klaws from rockymountainatv.com shipped for 100 bucks. They're awesome tires for an awesome price.

k the 250s are shaft drive so u cant change teh gearing, and teh kenda jkaws are tires idk if u knew that just letting u kno wna i personally thiknk there better than any tire out cause they last forever have crazy amount of traction and are cheap. k for the tire size i have 20s and i lost some top speed but gain accel. 250s top out at like 55 and now im at 50 but i reach that speed ina heart beat
