My front shocks are really easy to bottom, if you stand on the front bumper and press down you can make them bottom. They feel really soft. The person I bought them from said that it was hard for him to bottom them. Im not sure whats going on, but heres a pic...

You need to get them revalved for your weight and riding style. Give Jeff a call at the Quadshop they can do it.

The guy I bought them from said that they were valved for 160-180 pound rider for light mx. I weigh 140.

Do they bottom out when riding and jumping?

You can bottom them pretty easy when jumping. About 4 or 5 feet of air they will bottom

I say they need revalved. If they were for a 160-180lb rider and you are 140 they should be stiff.

Ya thats what I thought too. Does anyone know how much it would cost to get them rebuilt?

Sweet jump pics troy, those jumps are huge. If you havent bottomed out on those jumps, then my shocks deffinitly need some work. lol

ridered86 - you mean adjust the preload?

Ide say that if u can stand on the bumper an dbottom them out, then they are blown. No shock should really be able to do that except if they are valved for a 50 lb. rider and a 300 lb man jumps on them, lol. But really ide just get them rebuilt, and have someone change the valving for your weight while your at it!

Does anyone happen to know how much the Quadshop charges to rebuild and valve your shocks?

I sent my shocks out the other day, I cant wait to get them back. Im getting them valved for a 170lb rider, and adding a third spring.
