has any one tried to put a 450r exhaust on a 400ex? will the 450 pipe bolt up to the 400 head pipe?

a 450r pipe will work, but the mounting bracket is different. it will fit the stock 400 head pipe, and the bends are pretty much teh same, but the mounting bracket has to be moved.

are you sure, I know that the bends are similar, but the 450 pipe is like 1 1/2 and the 400 is like 1 1/8, so there is the problem.

I wouldn't do it. The power gain isn't there on a 400EX, and the weight is still there. Get a full yoshimura system for maximum power gain and it's lightweight.

im not lookin for a power difference im i think its a better looking pipe and i dont want to get anything louder

wats the point??? just get a 400 exhaust, save urself sum hassle
