my bike is over heating and a few people have told me to check the water pump.
If it is the water pump what do I look for to tell if it is bad??
And if it is bad what do i need to replace it?
Any help ASAP would be greatly appriciated.

First off.What kind of bike is it.
Why do u think it's over heating?
Is the fan working properly?
How's the coolant level?

i filled the coolant before a race then during the race it blows it out because of overheating
The fan works also
I think it is the water pump but i don't know how to tell
The water pump is mechanical. I doubt it is bad. Is there mud in the radiator? Is the thermostat opening? Your fan might be working but it might not be turning fast enough. I would try to run with no thermostat to see if that works.

Other things to check;
Jetting, lean and rich conditions can cause excess heat
Radiator cap, A faulty radiator cap can also cause the radiator to overflow.
Did you just top off the radiator?? I know my R will blow some coolant if I fill it to the top.
