i know rider skill blaah blaah blah... if it were two equaly matched riders what would win in a drag race... the bikes are stock and working to maximum performance

this is a sweet tread. i've seen it happen.

'05 yfz stock.

'06 yz125 stock.

yz125 rider was better. straight drag same for a while. yfz eventually took him. but only like up to third gear.

if you have hight speed internet or whatever the hell you want to call it, theres a few banshee vs. 125 and 450 vs 125 drags on youtube.

A YFZ should be able to take one in a drag. My 06 450r only has the HRC kit and I have beaten every 250 dirtbike that I have raced. A 125 should be easy to take...just from what I have seen.

hmm 250 2stroke? i highly doubt that unless your a better rider then the other.

The CR250, YZ250, and RM250...all two strokes. In fact, I owned one of the RM250s myself. And yeah, it mostly is rider...a quad comes off the line much easier than it is for most guys on a bike...on the top we roll together.

the 250 2 strokes are fast. A 250 2 stroke will beat any stock 450 quad out there.

a 125 will hang with a 450 quad. but the 450 will take the 125 in top speed by a little. But dude when are you gonna be topped out all the time. I used to ask questions like this but then i realized that top speed doesnt really matter, its how fast you get there. And for the guy saying his 450 beats 250 2T those riders must be pretty bad. they are around 43-46 hp stock and they are 210 lbs, put 2 and 2 together......

I dunno, I'd still like to see a 450 take a 250 bike.

I've only seen one 450 take a 250 bike and it had about $10,000 in the motor alone.

Other than that banshee's will probably be your best bet to taking a bike.

A 125 on the other hand, not a chance. I can start to walk away from a 400ex, but not a 450. I get smoked.

My 250r is a little faster than 450's and I raced my cousins YZ125 and killed it.

He took off first then I got on it, front end lifted and I was gone from him.

So a 450 should beat a 125.

Not a chance in hell a 450 would ever beat my cr250. Hahaha, funny.

As for 125's, the 450 will win most of the time.

haha, just to get this straight

a 125 will get beat by a 450 quad

a 250 2 - stroke bike will smoke a 450 quad

a 125 will beat a 400 quad

I remember somebody saying something about natalie being faster than RC. I personally watched a 16 year old amatuer on a kx250 run away, far away from jason dunkelburger, on a track bermed up and lipped for a quad.

Haha, well quad tracks are much easier than bike tracks. (at least around here) I have ridden my bike on a couple quad tracks and it was ridiculously easy. For a quad to go on a bike track is another story (much more difficult to do).

bike tracks don't usually have the ridiculously large berms us quad guys can't live without and as for the whole bike pro quad pro thing if i remember correctly at the first unadilla national which i believe was 2005 jj was right on pace with rc's lap times from when the bike were there

same here, but you can always tell if the owner is a quad rider or bike rider. Around here all the bike riders b!tch about the quad riders destroying the berms.

How long have you been riding bikes, like 2 maybe 3 months. Do you even know how to use a rut to its full potentiol (sp) i've almost been riding for two years now, and i know i dont. At your experience level , i would just try to stay focused on keeping it on 2 wheels.

the 450 had looked stock to me but it's by far stock.he had already made like 5 passes before i went over there and started to watch.i got laughed at then i got smoked.he was spining till he hit 4 gear.the only thing wierd that i noticed was he had 300ex shocks.
