Few 400ex questions

First off, I bought a toppend off of a kid who said it was a Namura 440. It looks identical to the size of my stock piston. How do I check this to see if it IS a 440.

Second of all, How much does a set of head studs run?

And finally do 450r shocks work well on 400ex?

measure the piston size. stock will be a 85mm piston. a 440 will have a 89 mm piston (or roughly a 3.5 inch bore). also, if you have the bottom of the sleeve open to view, it'll have a considerably smaller ramp skirt near the bottom of the sleeve.
