View Full Version : which jets to use with this setup?

Im adding a Hot cams stage 2, new valve springs, and a wiseco 11.1 piston to the mods i have listed below. What size jets should i use for the main and pilot jet, and what setting should i put the e-clip on on the needle jet?
Currently im running a 155 main, stock pilot, and e-clip on the center mark on the needle.

A 40 pilot and a 158 main should be a good start.

would a 42 pilot be too much. how much r pilot jets anyways. im guessing not alot at all!!

IMO--A #42 pilot would be too much.....I picked up my #40 for $4 at a local Honda dealer. You could probably pick one up for $3-8 depending on the area.

This is prolly a dumb question. How do u install the pilot jet? i have a shop manual but im too lazy to go get it right now hehe

well first i would try ur stock settings first and go from there. and it all depends on ur altitude. either way i would bump up the pilot jet

I was plannin on goin up at least toa 40 jsut didnt know bout the 42. thanx fer ur help guys.

What about installin it where does it go??

if u follow instructions and take the bowl off the center jet is the main jet and the one to the side of it is the pilot jet (or atleast the way iwas told) and it screws out the same way the main jet does.
