how to wire this thing up?

Ok i noticed a few full wiring harnesses and such around at some different places and i was wondering how do I wire up my 250r to not use the light and on and off switch and such? Im not gonna be running lights on it so I figured I do not need it

easy, don't plug in the connector for the switch. Leave the connector on the harness under the tank, do the same with the wires heading to the tail light. Simple huh????

oh ok thanks man, so then just to crank it, i can just kick it over right? I never fooled with a "kickstart" atv before as this is my first real sport atv so im new to this.

what year trx250r harness are you gonna use???? If you use a 87=89 harness, the two wires that are for the key switch can be hooked up to a tether or cr kill switch. If you use a 89 harness, it has different connectors for the stator connections, so you need the correct year stator. The on/off switch connects the two wires from the coil together, effectively killing the spark, the two leads for the key switch on 87-89 years does the same.

to be honest, i really dont know, im building the bike up from the frame so i guess whichever harness i can get my hands on, but thanks a ton for the info
