Question: I have noticed some aftermarket oil coolers on Ebay for the 300ex. Do these really work, and if so are they worth the 90 bucks? The listing says that it provides a better running and longer engine life if the oil is cooled? Give me your opinions please

any little bit helps. worth $90, probably. but what you can do, is go to your local auto shop and buy a tranny cooler for a car. same thing pretty much but should only be about $30

Ok, sounds interesting......So if I go out and get a tranny cooler will I still be able to connect the oil hoses to it in the same manner? Also, is the cooling still the same? Just wondering, never heard of this before! Guess you learn something new everyday

yes, you take and cut the external oil line on the 300ex to connect the cooler. cut the line, then you can flar teh end of it to help hold the rubber line, or my bro took and added normal like brake line fittings to his to connect teh cooler. he has pics somewhere, but he is out of town right now.
