my bet saws the bolts are not stripped they are welded on so stop you from just unbolting the cat

Can;t you just weld the new exhaust on to where you cut the old one off?

Also, the bolts would not be welded to prevent removal of the cats. They are just rusted bad. Try some CRC Freeze-Off. if that doesn't work, take it to an exhaust shop.....

OR buy new headers to go with the exhaust.

Given the choice, I'd take whats behind door #3 for that job. Less chance of damaging the existing manifolds/headers and or causing them to leak.

WD40 or something ecuvlant.
Impact
Something too hold the bolt tight. Maybe a crowbar. I cant really say what it looks like under there. I have never been under a S10

hmm, my weapon of choice would be oxy-acetylene torches. or the hammer pictured above. but why do you need to get the bolt out? why not cut the pipe off a bit shorter and weld on a new flange?

Tip of the day

[ ]Flang
[X]Flange

Flange has an E at the end.

Drill, beat out with a hammer, grind, or torch it out.

Oxy/Acetylene torch to heat the nuts cherry and a impact wrench is what I would have used in the first place. If you do this, they will back off soon enough.
