here i think i can help you again..

here are the numbers for both quads so you can compare

300ex

front - 13 inches

rear 14.38 inches

400ex

front- 16.25 inches

rear- 15.50

awesome saved me from measuring mine...so it would all in all lower my quad about 1.5 inches am i right? cuz the front is 3 inc difference, and the back is 1, so im guessing 1.5 inch lower?

yea to me that sounds about right.. but i would definatly adjust your rear shock,

because i dont think a 300ex rear shock would work at all.

but the stock shock should have enough adjustment to lower it to where you need it

so the fronts will work for sure? but back prolly wont? i wanna lower my quad as much as i can untill i have to get a lowering kit to go further, right now i have a lowering kit i made for the front to lower me about 2 inches, but i havent messed with the back yet, and im not sure if i can get a stock 400ex set of shocks front or rear to go lower then what they are now. so someone in the 400 forum told me to use 300 shocks instead but itd be nice to know if 300 shocks would worj on my 400ex, i dont se ehwy not if raptor shocks work on 300ex's and 400 shocks on blasters work.

300 fronts will definatly work but there will be very little suspension travel,

im almost positive the 300 rear wont work, but on the 400ex rear shock i would spin the preload ring all the way up and it should lower it a bunch.

WOW!!! I cant believe honda300EXtreme would even think about the rear shocks working. The 2 shocks are so different that it would take some serious i mean serious fabrication for the 300 rear to work.

personally i think down grading is a horrible idea but what ever floats ur boat and yes they should work

well like i said i was almost sure it would not work. i mean if he really really wanted its possible. but not worth the effort

i dont agree with what he wants to do im just answering his questions.
