You will have to grind a little off of the top eyes on the shocks thats all.

When I installed my 450r shocks I just knocked off the nut on the underside of the mounting bracket where the top of the shock mounts(use a small chisel). Then I bought a "carraige" bolt and inserted it from the bottom.(this is the bolt that holds the fender bracket in place)

-This method will save you from grinding your nice new shocks. Even though you wouldn't see the grinding, it would be there if you wanted to sell them or whatever. This method has also been discussed many times.

Thats for 450R shocks. He's talkin about YFZ shocks. Yfz shocks don't need the nut removed cuz they have that clearence. The shocks themselves are thick as in they will not fit in there without being ground.

sounds like the same thing to me. grinding the top of the shock in order for it to get up in there.

I think when he says thick he means the width of the material that goes into the mount, so say the space is 5/8 the YFZ shock is 11/16 so you gotta grind 1/16th off and it slides on, I know my boss put a cbr shock in the rear of the 300 for flat tarck and thats what he had to do, but he had top take a ton off.
