GOt a 86' 250r stock cylinder/carb as far as I knowI had a DG pipe and LRD silencer silencer on it prior with a 152 main. I since have put on a LRD adjustable pipe got it set for low end (short), with the LRD pipe. I'm in ohio so elecation isn't an issue. I just notice a little more hesitation from the start. On ce you get rolling you got on the throttle and let off its still very snappy. Just wondering if I should bump up to maybe 156-158? Any thoughts?

THanks ahead of time.

making the pipe shorter is for topend, longer is lowend. doen't matter much though, doubt you'd notice a difference either way. hesitation is probably the pilot jet, go a size or 2 bigger, you can also turn the small screw on the side of the carb in(i think) if it helps the pilot is too small.

Hmm I read somewhere where shorter was for Lowend, not the case then?

Thanks

Back to jetting questions I know I need to change jetting because I am thinking that the 152 is stock. I forgot to mention I have a reed spacer, and also boyesen reeds., if that helps out some.

hesitation from the start is the pilot jet and air bleed screw. the main jet is only the upper end of the rpm range

Ok gotcha there, I need to check and see what jet is in there, have any idea where I should be at?, and also how many turns on the screw?

1.5-2 or around there on the screw, there's no set adjustment, just what ever works best. pilot needs to be bigger from the sounds of it 2-3 sizes bigger maybe?
