Getting a new (used) 450

alright i have been talking to my parents about maybe giving my yfz to my dad and then getting another 450 for me so that we can ride together. my question is, which 450 would you guys suggest. i would probably be buying one that is slightly use and only like a year old. i am really only considering the 450r, kfx, and ltr. i really like my yfz but am wanting to try something different. i mainly ride trails and fields right now but i donno i might get into some mx in a couple years. i want something that will be a top performer and also reliable. heres what ive been thinking so far..

450R
+its got honda reliability
+good power
+comfortable
-tippy feeling
-average stock suspension

KFX450
+good power
+aluminum frame
+efi
+reverse
-hasnt proven itself reliable
-have to buy efi controller

LTR450
+good stock suspension
+good handling
+fairly reliable
+efi
+can be made very fast with only $40 cherry bomb
-wide
-slow stock

id have to say im leaning more towards the ltr right now and then the honda followed by the kawi. sorry for such a long post, im just trying to weigh my options out right now. your opinions and suggestions are welcome!

I really like the YFZ's and TRX's... However, before I bought either one of them I would try and hop on a KFX450..

i think for you the trx450r would be the best. If you lean in the corners a lot the tippy feeling goes away

I love everything about my Honda!! My buddy has a KFX450 and I dont really like it all that much. And he just had it recalled because something in the fuel system could leak and cause a fire :confused:

for trails i would stay with the yfz. but the 450r the is more of a reliable quad.

Get the 450r. If ur gonna ride trails the LTR is no good for u. They are really slow compared to the TRX. My buddy got a cherry bomb, uni filter, no lid, mapped it and baffle out. My bone stock trx still raped it. Now that ive got a pipe and a piston they arent even in the same class. The suzuki is such a pain to wrench on. Hondas are very easy to work on.

i guess im going to have to just make sure i ride them. ive rode a 450r before but it was just a put around in a yard. i think im still leaning towards the ltr, the trails i ride are pretty wide so i think i would be fine. i thought that once you added the cherry bomb they were like completely different bikes? so a stock 07 450r or stock 07 yfz would still be faster than a ltr with the cherry bomb and removed baffle and air box lid?
