I had a reputable shock person tell me that the GT thunder link lowers the bike, but really thats all that it does, and that the stock rear shock does not have the correct amount of travel to sit like that.. Has anyone ever heard that? I see alot of guys here with the link ive never heard of that before..

By changing the link it gives you an inproved leverage ratio over stock but requires revalving.I am running the GT Thunder link with my Motowoz rear shock.Who told u all it does is lower it!!!!Reputable shock person:confused:

I have the gt thunder link and revalve its a huge difference compared to stock. No bucking when going thru hard whoop sections. It does lower the bike but thats not all it does. That guy you listened to doesnt know what he is talking about.

call laz at gtthunder and he will be willing to explain what it does. basically its a new mounting point for the shock. which is lower. so it does lower the bike. but it actually works better then stock as well. it will allow the rear to move better for the riding conditions.

Hi,
I know i dont have a 450 but i have a 400ex. I have 450r front shocks and i just got my rear redone by GTThunder and i have the link. Have any of you had a problem with the airbox hitting anything when shock is compressed?

yes, if you look on his site, it says the airbox may need to be reloated higher...
