Well I finished my 250R project. I have before and after pictures. Theres quite a difference. I used a new frame, pipe, silencer, wheels and tires, stem, bars, plastic, axles, a-arms, and some other small things.
I'm having some running troubles though. When it gets on the pipe its like it hits a brick wall. Im running an oiled No Toil foam filter, stock size carb, stock reed cage with fiberglass reeds I believe, stock cylinder and piston thats bored over but I dont remember how much, LRD adjustable pipe and LRD silencer, 93 octane pump gas and maxma castor 927 at 40:1. The pilot jet is a 48 and the main is a 158 and Im not sure what clip the needle is on but Im pretty positive the middle clip and and the plug is black. The low end is fine and it will lug around and lift the front wheels but when I rev it out it starts to die. What should my main be? I also have an adjustable timing plate. Right now I have not changed the timing. When I get the jetting figured out would I notice any benefits in changing the timing. Or would changing the timing fix running issues. Thanks for the input guys. Later.
