need help now...please

Hi,

Im trying to remove my cylinder head. I have the chapter from the book for head removal, but Im not sure if Im at top dead center. It just says refer to page 4-8...which I dont have. can someone please explain to me what to look for. thanks, Gary

Finding TDC with the head off is easy, just grab the timing chain and grab both sides and move the chain to the point the piston is at it's apex, bingo, TDC. To verify your timing marks are spot on once you do this, remove the side cover on the clutch side and make sure your timing marks are lined up, bingo, now you know you are most definitely at TDC.
