Is removing the choke and installing a 42 pilot jet really worth doing for more power?.Has any-one done this and was the power noticeable or not?

Is this for a 400ex? I did mine and have no idea if its better or not. I didn't change the pilot, it starts fine without it though.

The "power of suggestion" makes seat of the pants performance evaluation a slippery slope. Nonetheless, I thought I felt a small increase in performance when I removed the choke on my 400EX--mostly the throttle response seemed better.
Removeing the choke is definitely not going to be a night and day difference, but it may yield a small performance gain. If I was doing it all over again I'd still remove the choke.
