KICKER all the way!!!!!! Mine starts FIRST kick everytime i go out to start her. I have seen too many problems with the electric to even think about buying one. But if you do get the electric, get the kicker put on.

KICKSTART............i turn my gas off when i put mine up and let it run out so all i do is turn the gas on pump it 3 times turn the choke on and do one or two slow kicks just to get some lube goin then one nice hard kick and BAMMMM shes started

when already warm/hot press the hotstart and one kick shes started

i have owned mine for over a year and myu starter give me no problems and starts on a push of the button.

ive heard kickstart problems aswell asrising.... the wires binding up with the gears and the most common of the kickback and the cases cracking ive seen a couple cases of that

but hey if u want both, get the e-start and add a kicker for around 300-500 dollars.

Kick all the way! Mine starts up on 3rd kick at the most usually 1st.

I have an 05 and it always kicks right over. Never had a problem no matter hot or cold. That's one of the things I like so much about it. She's very reliable.

Get a kicker. I had an 06 electric and traded it in for my 07 kicker I have now. I love the kicker...

hey ill throw my hat in and say get the Estart, if you have a change of heart laterion down the road at least you can get a kicker on it, but it DOES NOT work the other way around (i would know)

I would get the kicker if i were you! I have the electric, and couldn't get my hands on a kicker because they are scarce around here. But if you have to get the electric just get the kicker installed! But if your racing mx I geuss it wouldn't matter unless you are into that weight saving crap. But mine is not the fastest starting on dead engine starts. But I get lucky every once in a while!

Kickstart

It's all preference though. Less weight and no dead batterys or starters with the kicker...

Take it from me man. Save urself a lot of hassle and just get the kickstart. My electric start is awful. I can deal with it starting slow.. but ive had to take it to the shop a handful of times because it wouldnt start. Not to mention all the times ive had to charge my battery.

I thought honda had a 450er that had electric start with the forward kick

I own a 05 and 06 that I race XC with. The kicker is alot more reliable. Ive had a few races on my 06 and the fuse blew. I had to push start it. And with dead engine starts, kickstart hands down. I have 2 batteries on my 06 so that helps some. I have kicker parts on order for the 06 right now.
