black painted rims

hey, i really want to paint my exs rims black, but what kind of paint is the best? i heard that you can use regular spray paint.

mosy likely any kind of spray paint will begin to wear, and chip in a short period of time, and wheels being wheels, i bet the paint would just get beat. but i also know nothing about paint, so sorry for the pointless reply.

ok
1. dremel the gashes out
2. prime, i would use almost a whole can per wheel
3. paint, a whole can a wheel
4. clear coat them and use a can a wheel

so 4 cans of primer,4 cans of paint, and 4 cans of clear coat. it will be more expensive but worth it and dont think of skipping the clear coat. and use krylon from wal mart is fine

krylon is tougher than a lot of spray paints out there, but there's no way it'll hold up.

depends..lol, do a crappy job and people probably wont like it. Do it right and it will probably look good. If u do it post pics though. These are stock rims right?

Yea, id pretty much just do what mhsc said. You think engine paint would work on it mhsc? Asking you because you have experience...lol.

yep engina paint will work thats what my bumper is because thats the only kind made in green but it has ceramic in it so its unnecessary at 5 dollars a can
