what types of grips is everyone running.
I have been running spider grips m1 for atv's,but they discontinued the shoulders on themand there making them thinner.Ireally can't get used to them:ermm:

My favorite to date are the stock grips on YFZ's. Oury's are next on my list to try.

OURY's all the way baby! They are a little bit thicker, so arm pump is easier to get, though I haven't notice it personally, but I dont get blisters at all with them which is most important to me.

i use Spider A3's and i will probaly never switch. I have had the same set since this time last year and they only get better and better as they wear. Maybe next time I will try some of the other style.

these are what i use in the hard compound but if you don't wear gloves they'll tear your hands up especially if the grips or your hand are wet.

i just wipe the handlebars off with alcohol and slide the grips on. then i wire them between the blocks.

I clean the bars good then use hair spray, it lubes it long enough to get the grip on then acts as glue and holds it in place.

do it fast, its not comming off easy if you dont get it all the way on.

I use protaper full waffle soft grips with shoe goo and safety wire to hold them on

i wont use the saftey wire because i get worried that it may get loose and poke me in the hand. I just use gorilla glue and i have zero problem.

oury are awesome grips i run them on all of the bikes i ride and the scotts are ok, i have the renthals on my mountain bike which are ok too but oury are my favorite and if you hav a air compressor with a blower nozel for it then stick the grips on the handlebars and use that to get air inbetween the grip and bars and push it on it will make them stay on good, at least for me its worked great, but if not then you can use grip glue or wire

which is better to help prevent blisters??...softer or harder?

also..i got a trick for u to use to keep ur grips on good ;)
a buddy of mine...Zach Winters...taught me this. he told me to use carb cleaner. he does this, but he said you have to do it very fast because it pratically "melts" them onto the bars. once u get them on, he uses wire and puts around them too. hope this helps some

the carb cleaner works but dont use too much because the ruber will melt and eat the grip from the inside out (makes it wear out soooooooooo fast )

hair spray works better from my experience

yeah...i never tried this yet myself, but i was saying what he said. i watched him do it, worked very good.

i used to use hair spray but it doesnt stick very well for very long n then my grips spin on the bars...unless im just too hard on them..? lol

For grips...Oury. Ive tried them all and oury is a super tacky grip. Grip glue is what I use to put them on with plus safety wire. For blisters use a type of under glove. I used to get blisters bad racing XC, but ever since I got MSR's under glove I have yet to get blisters...even with my hand soaking wet!

Renthal 50/50 grips. They lasted me 3 seasons!

Or underwear gloves that are ment to prevent blisters. 12bucks for a pair. It doesnt matter what grip you get your hand is still going to move around in your glove causing blisters. the underwear glove fits tight to your hand and allows your hand to slide around in your glove without causing blisters. You could have the perfect grip in the world, but if you ride hard enough your still going to get blisters!

Protaper Dual synergy hard comp.
Though i will prolly go with renthal med's again next time. Protapers don't last that long they are just too soft. But they are really nice. If only i could get the life of renthal with the comfort of Protaper... huuuuuuuum...
