Can any one of you but black rims on this truck? I'm sorry about the blurryness, I'll try to get new pics tomorrow, but for now can anyone do this?

No offense, but just save your money for something else. Why blow it on a decades old pickup, that based on the fuzzy photos you've posted, doesn't appear to be in that great of shape to begin with. It may just be the photo quality though. It's also a W/T, does it even have a stereo?

haha comments like that make me laugh. 1) It's my truck I can pretty much do what I want with it no matter the age 2) No it doesnt have a stereo, but thats just less for me to take out when I put an aftermarket one in 3) No it's not in that great of shape, called a project truck, gives me something to blow money on, make it my own. It's a 1993 so it's not that that old, I've seen older.

I only made those comments because I've been there and done that. Trust me you'll be farther ahead to just run the wheels off the thing, not put any money into "souping" it up and save your money for other stuff. That's all. No where did I mention anything about spending $20k on a different truck.

In regards to the 250R comments, that makes total sense that guys spend that much money on them. I would too if I had one. Why, because they are worth it.

My point is that you have a truck that's worth MAYBE $5k. Your gonna spend a bunch of money on wheels, tires, stereo, etc. and, you guessed it, it will still be worth MAYBE $5k. Just offering some advice from my own experience.

You can polish a turd and it's still a turd.

Worth 5 grand? Well I bought it for 1800, guess I got a deal then eh? Well, if I were to buy a truck, it would be another Chevy, 1996-1998 with the Vortec 350's in them, so why not just start with a basically simliar truck, put a 350 in it (not specifically vortec) probably a tranny rebuild, possibly rear end components and I'd be set to go. And for the 250r's being "worth it", people have put 20,000 into their 250rs and sold them for around 5 grand, really hold their value don't they? The 450's killed the resale for most any other sport fourwheeler because everyone was selling to get 450s

EDIT: And by no means am I trying to make this a show truck, this is my first vehicle so it is by no means going to be taken easy on, but then again I don't want to be driving a hunk of chit, so I am going to attempt to make it look nicer, but not get to expensive

i have an '87 caddy with 250,000 miles and it runs great. Now i could take all my money that i have spent on my bike recently and put it toward a new car but i dont need to...you know why? because 1. this gets the job done (and with good gas mileage) 2. i dont need to impress anyone and 3. it has never broken down the 20 years that my family has had it, i think thats reliability. Kids today make min wage, dont have the kind of money to buy a $5k truck, it just isnt realistic, thats why parents have to. My car maybe old but its got a top of the line stereo system in it that i put in with my dad, you know why? because i wanted to. I know i could only get $1.5k max for my car and that my stereo system for it cost probably 3/4 of that but i dont care at all.

its a nice truck for a kid, put the new wheels on and the 4 wheeler in the back and get some pics :macho

Thanks:) The reason I was asking for black wheels was because my one freind thinks it would look sweet if I painted them, I'm not sure I was just trying to get a picture in my mind, I have better pics of the truck, I just can't get them off the computer:grr:

I'd just buy a set of black Rock Crawler wheels with the fake beadlock rings on them for your truck....OR get out the rattle can and spray the ones you've got.

Those are some good looking rims, I especially like the first 2 and 2nd to last. Maybe if I spray em real good, I can get mine to look kind of like the second one...kind of
