How long should it take the average person with some mechanical skills working without too many breaks to install a new cam, valve springs, and a piston?
Ive got all day to do it just wonderin how much of that day it will likely take.

and that would take me about 2 hours tops , so if you haven't done it before it might take you a little longer.

When I put in my 416 kit, I took my time, and made sure where I was taking each part from, and it took me a couple hours. Also, make sure you lay out the parts in the order you took them off. Then when it comes time to re-assemble, you just work the parts in the reverse order. After the cylinder was bored, it took a couple hours to put it back together. Making sure I torqued every thing down right. As long as you have the proper tools, and don't run into any problems, it shouldn't take you more than 3-4 hours.

If you start early in the morning then you could be done and riding that afternoon if there is no problems.
