mine was a 1987 Suzuki quad racer lt250r i was about 12-13 yrs old and i traded my new stereo and $500 bucks my parents struggled to get me so i would be happy,at the time i didn't know anything about fixing atvs nor did i know how to use a clutch until i got the lt250r,the first thing that i did wrong was buy it from my friend that took me for a ride cause the shocks were all blown the shifter broke off and i had it welded on,the rear axle was bent didn't notice it until i drove it down the road it would rattle your teeth out of your head.well to make a long story short about a month after i bought it ,it was out front of my house for $200 bucks not knowing then what i know now the clutch had burned out and wouldn't move at all it still ran but wouldnt go,funny thing is when it was out front a guy stopped to check it out ,not knowing i left it in gear for some strange reason when he started it ,it took off across the road with him supermanning it untill it hit the ditch,no one was hurt thank god and he ending up buying it,still dont know why it took off cause the clutch still didn't work after it took off.lets here some of your guys first wheeler experiences.

i think alot of people started on suzukis. I started on a LT50 at a very young age, i wanna say 2-3. My dad got it for all of us to ride and me and brother and sister all took turns. Then i went to 2 wheels with a PW80, then got a trike...then back to 2 wheels with a CR80, then back to 4 wheels with a blaster, and banshee, then back to 2 wheels with a CR125 and CR 250, then i got a 250r, and now i have another banshee as well...Sold all the CRs, but i might be getting that CR80 back, that was one of my favorite toys of all time :D

But yup, started on the LT50. I had the chance to buy it back for like 300 bucks but i passed on that...It was alot of run riding it!

well i started kinda late at 16 (2002) my papaw bought me my first atv- honda Rancher 350 with ES and i loved that thing but i thiought id go for a sportier setup and traded it for a wolverine and i thought id go alittle sportier and traded it for a banshee and i really wasjust unimpressed with the yami. so traded it for a modded 440ex then like 3 month later the 450R came out so i traded for it (still have) and recently ive saved enough to buy a kfx450 and thats where im at now. and thats my story (minus the details:D)

The first quad I ever bought for myself.... yeah I might have jumped in over my head a little... I think the only things stock were the front spindles the brake calipers, the frame which was modded and the case halves....hehehehe:chinese:

1986 TRX 70, its funny to see a few others who had the same. I rode the crap outta that, and when I was 16 we built a small track and jumped it to the point sparks would fly out when it landed, but still started every time, I wish it was never sold:ermm: .

I wish I still had mine too. I sold it around 1991 I think.

I like to think my lil' 70 is still running around out there somewhere. :bandit:

When I first got that banshee, it would never idle, I believe it was because the TORS was removed or something of the sort. Well one day after it had rained I started it up and it stayed idling (I should have looked at this as a bad sign, not a good one) So being the dumb kid I was, I took her for a rip down the road... yeah good thinking.... well by the time I hit 4th gear I was about ready to start slowing down...well to my surprise the shee decided it wasn't ready to slow down, and the throttle stuck open. So I kept tapping it and hitting it trying to loosen it up, while me 50ish hp shee is rocketing down the road in 4th gear, well the throttle just stuck even more wide open, so I yank the tether... doesn't work (thanks to the guy who sold it to me for letting me know ahead of time) It finally just stopped on its own thank god. The entire ordeal only lasted about 10 seconds but it felt like a long time... needless to say I didn't take it out when it got wet anymore... never figured it out either...:chinese:
