yfz 450, raptor 700, or kfx 450r

i need some honest opinions on what quad i should get. im hopin to hear some straight forward answers or a good comparison to a yfz 450 cuz i rode my friends 04 yfz and fell in love with it. how does an 04 yfz compare to n e of the quads as far as accelartion, handeling, speed and torque or what ever info u can give me would be good thanks hope to hear. o ya the yfz had a pipe thats all i know. this quad is gonna b used for trail riding just to put that in there as well

GO WITH RAPTOR, YFZ ENGINE TOO HIGH STRUNG FOR TRAILS, KFX TOO NEW( HOW RELIABLE WILL IT BE). RAPTOR HAS HUGE TORQUE AND YOU CAN LUG AROUND IN 3RD AND 4TH GEAR ALL DAY LONG.

I'd go with the YFZ450 since you already like riding it. you could get used to it in the trails.

As far as acceleration and speed they are all pretty close.

The raptor has alot more torque than either of the 450's.

Both 450's are going to handle better but the 700 will be easier on the body for a all day ride.

For me the 700 is a clear choice for trail riding but they are all good quads and you would most likely be happy with any of them.

raptor 700 might be the best trail quad available right now

the yfz would our run it but if your not racing the 700 is has alot more comfort (and it wouldnt be very far behind the yfz)

Let me share my 2 cents. I ride with a couple of 450's both honda and yamaha. All we do is trial ride with some road riding involved. The fastest quad through the trials is the guy with the biggest balls or the best rider. When we get on the road, my 700r will shoot past any 450 in the group. Two of the 450's are built and I still have them beat on top end. I lose to the built 450's if we race from a dead stop but only by half a quad. That will change as soon as I return from Iraq and buy a 11:1 piston, cam and have my head trail ported/polished. The 450's are race quads and the 700r is a trail quad. They all shine for what they where built for so it basically comes down to you buying what you want to buy. :D

i say go with the KFX 450r beacuse who knows some day u might wanna mix it up and go to the track or something

yfz 450 all the way, it may not have reverse, but at 350 pounds if u get in a place where u need reverse, just push it, but yea yfz 450, tht would be my choice

after installing the HMF exhaust on my YFZ, i was amazed at how strong the mid range is on the thing... i can easily lug it a gear high now, and i dont think there is anything on the 700 that i would prefer over my YFZ

sit on the raptor, then sit on the yfz (1 is a couch, other a brick)
the raptor is more comfortable in many areas.

i will play devils advocate here... not that the raptor is not a great bike- it is...

but when i ride a YFZ or a Raptor- its no different- i still rev the piss out of it and ride it like i stole it... so even though the raptor has that bottom end, the only time i really use it is to give the kids a ride around camp...

i agree that the 04-05 yfzs felt like you were sitting on a brick, but they fixed the seat in 06 and i have done 5 day trips to the dunes on it with no problem at all...

250rforlife knows wat he is sayin, they r comfortable now, it feels bout tha same as a raptor now, tha yfz is as close to perfect as it can unless they added some better features, but i cant think of any, so yfz is tha best sport atv yet
