well im in the process of buying a 2005 yfz 450 with a G force slip on exhaust. Its at a dealership and they are asking 5200. Is this a fair price? I've been tryin to get them to lower the price but i cant seem to get them to budge. Also is there any way i can tell how long or hard is been riden engine wise?Otherwise the plastics are in fair condition(no big scratchs) there's one little stress mark in the right rear fender that can be taken out with a heat gun i imagine. the tires have probably 75% of the tread left on them. Also if anybody has any tips on making them go down on the price please give me some advice. I've tried everything i've known and there bein D*ck bags about it.

That's a little high for an 05. I've seen new left over 06's for about that and 07's for $5500 because the 08's are out now.

I just decided to drop the deal with that YFZ because the dealership just rose the price 200$. I just pretty much told the dealer ship to take a hike.

thats way too high for just an axle and slip on exhaust mounted on an 05! they probablly took the price of the quad and added the pipe and axle price to it... ive found that most dealerships are full of it and do not know what they are talking about!

uhh yea, run away from there as quickly as possible. I've seen YFZ's in the 3500-4000 range all day used, and I've had friends get brand new 06's at the end of last year for 5600 OTD.

There is a dealership here that sells for $100 over dealer on just about everything they sell. I bought our 04 450R new there for $5400 in July of 2004. It was $100 more since I was from another state. My wife worked at one for a while so we went down there one day and asked a few prices on Yamaha's and they were all $100 over dealer. You should look around for a place like that where you are. Its crooked as hell to other dealerships but they sell a ton every weekend. They make up for it buy sticking you with warrenties that you don't know you are buying and won't honor it when the bike breaks so get a bottom-line price before you commit. I even heard a salesman joking to others while I was there about how much he got off warrenties and the people didn't even know they were getting them. I was looking at a YZ450 and he was begging me to look at the YFZ's after I heard him tell all his friends that he could stick me with a warrenty AND explaining to me that I couldn't ride it when I have a WR450 now which make the same power and I told him that. BEWARE! Use these places to your benefit and you come out great.
