Air Filter Boot

i just bought a 450r carb and now im havin trouble gettin the 400ex intake boot to fit properly does any1 no if the bott off a 450r will work on a 400ex?? i realy need to no asap...

Based off what i've heard you have to move the airbox up about 1" for it to work.

did you read the sticky about installing a 450R carb? On page 3 or 4 it talks about how to modify the stock boot, and how to move the airbox forward about an inch. i would recommend reading the whole thread though, there's a lot of useful info.:)

yeah i read that but here is the thing... my boot was junk b4 i bought the carb i just hadnt ordered another.. so now i thought would b a good time to get a new 1 and i just wanted to see a 450 would fit.. yes that sticky has alot of great info...
