i got a new hour and tach meter and im wonder if anyone knows what the rpms are at idle....its running around 1600 now.

anywhere between 1500-2000 should be fine,I turn mine up to cure cold starting blues,personal preferance really.my 2c worth.

thanks i just wanted to make sure.

i didnt want to turn it down because at that rpm it doesnt stall out when im rock crawling

Idle speed specification is 1400rpm +/-100rpm. A little higher is fine--sometimes a few hundred rpm higher helps with off-idle thottle response.

Plus, don't forget...they are air-cooled.
Like a Harley, a little bit higher idle speed is good for keeping the oil circulating. :cool:
