building 350 p/v motor and was wondering if lightening the flywheel has any neg affect on reliability? ricky stator offers them ....balanced. looking to rip in the dunes. i know its less rotating mass but would it really make a difference?

PVL works verry good on 350r size motor but a light fly wheel wont hurt a thing on that size motore spins up verry fast in the RRRs

I have a lightened flywheel and high output electrical system on my ported CT 350...Works awesome. Rev's up real fast like a ported 265 but with way more balls...throttle response is instant, and much easier to start. I dont know what kind of flywheel/electrical system it is, cause it came with my bottom end, but the flywheel is half the size of the stock one (no joke) and all the following attatching parts are aluminum. The Coil cant be removed from the flywheel wiring harness, and my CDI box is huge...I wish I could tell you what kind it is, but I have never seen anything forsale like it anywhere.

check out www.rickystator.com . how does your flywheel look in size compared to the lightened one . thanks

The CDI box, and Coils look like what I have on mine...but thats not my flywheel....my flywheel is much smaller then that, and its like chrome.

Is it possible that you have a CR ignition? Like the one ESR offers? Because the CR flywheel is about half the size of the stocker, which would allow your machine to rev much faster/better.
