Valve Noise?? Any Info?

So I just finished up my 440 build, and it rips! but I did a stg2 hotcam, and adjusted the valves to Hotcam's specs, and my vavles are tickin like crazy and it never did that with the stock cam. Just wondering if thats just how it is, of if I should try to tighten up the valve lash a little more.

Thats just how aftermarket cams sound on the 400ex. It won't hurt to check the lash again to make sure.

Cool thats all needed to know. I was just concerned for a bit. I've rechecked them 4 times now

i think after a bit they will stop trickin if im not mistaken takes time to wear em in i heard

You are supposed to break in a hotcam after it's been installed, but the ticking wont go away. You'll probably notice that it'll get louder as the quad warms up. But I would advise you check your vavles more often now, I've noticed mine come out of spec quicker than they did before I installed an aftermarket cam.

Yeah it gets noiseier when its warm, but I guess I'll live with it as long as they are adjusted right. I usually go through the valves after every oil change
